Olatayo is a graduate of Agricultural Economics and Farm Management from Olabisi Onabanjo University (formerly Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye Ogun State), an Alumnus of The International Institute of Import-Export Institute Arizona, a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria, an Chartered Associate of Institute of Chartered Management Accountant (Nigeria), and a student member of Chartered Institute of Stock-broking.  

He worked as a business development and sales personnel for over fourteen years in the banking industry. During this time, he served as retail/commercial sales officer, headed branch offices in some banks and left as a corporate banker in February 2015.

A dynamic and innovative corporate professional who currently sits on the board of a manufacturing company and manages leasing and logistics business. He is also a senior managing partner in a beauty and wellness business with growing branches in Lagos.

Tayo has great passion for the things of God; his earnest desire is that many will come to Him for steady relationship. He is a deacon in the Baptist denomination and a member of many Christian bodies; prominent amongst them are PCLI and Paincare Ministries. He is happily married to his friend of many years, Oluwagbemiga: the 13-years old union is blessed with a beautiful daughter Tioluwanimi.
